As we step into the new month and new year I have found that it is especially important to energize your soul. You may wonder okay Cassandra what do you mean by this? How can I energize my soul?
What I mean: Allowing pure energy into your life and into your core persona or soul. The part of life and all there is that makes you uniquely you. Surrendering to our greater selves and allowing life to ignite the spark within us. For those who have felt this before you’ll know what I’m talking about. Sometimes it happens when you’re not trying to tap into the energy of life; such as when you’re out on a hike and the beauty of nature hits you and gives its energy to you. You feel excited and alive just witnessing life. Sometimes we purposely tap into life energy by meditating or praying. If you haven’t felt this before I highly recommend setting aside time to tap into the energy life offers. For me and for first timers, finding a spot to breathe and relax in nature is a great way to do this. I have found that it is easier to connect to life energy when we are in nature. – it’s so pure in nature which makes it easier to feel, especially for those of us who are not innately in tune with energy and how to feel it.

How to energize your soul: As previously mentioned one great way to tap into life energy is to go to it’s source: Nature. I find going into nature is a really great way to begin tapping into life energy because its pure and usually quite strong, which makes it easier to feel. As you develop your personal skills of tapping into energy you’ll find other ways that work great for you. Another way that is simplistic and very accessible is through meditation. I like to enjoy meditation by just allowing my conscious to run loose if you will. Anything and everything is consciousness and when we purposely let our minds and souls open to all there is around us we can end up noticing a lot more. Think about it… If you take a moment just to observe what’s in front of you, you may notice more than you have ever before. Take a moment to listen, what do you hear? I can pause and hear much more than before when I’m doing something. I can hear birds outside, cars driving by, my furnace kicking on and off, some noise my sink is making that I haven’t paid attention to before. I can hear myself breathing, my feet shifting on the carpet, the clock on the wall ticking and much more. Paying attention to life’s simplest forms really give me energy and it might for you too.
I hope you enjoy these thoughts and take some time to energize your soul this month. Let’s start this year off with our energy reservoirs full and ready to take on the world.
Stay Mindful,
Cassandra
