Wake Up

Wake up, take a deep breath, drink water and then take action. Get moving in some way, go for a run, stretch it out, or do a little home routine. It does not matter how you choose to move as long as you do it! After you move around a little and you get your blood flowing, check your schedule and lock down your day.

Time is an absolutely priceless entity that requires discipline to get the highest value it holds. As a coach, one of the most frequent and overused excuses I receive as to why a goal has not been reached is a lack of time. My immediate follow up question is; do you have a weekly schedule with all of your time planned out? The answer I get most often is “no.” Without a weekly schedule it’s no wonder you feel as if you have no time, little time bites throughout your day are eating up all of your time. Time bites add up to huge chunks of your day not being utilized in a productive manner.

Time management takes dedication to get great at this skill, but it is a skill which means that it can be learned. Skills need to be practiced in order to be great but once you practice enough it becomes a habit – an instinctual motion in your day. The first step is to plan out a weekly schedule with everything included on it. This means your work or business hours, exercise and self care, as well as time off or you time. Make your schedule accessible and easy to understand. Plan out your schedule as far as possible, you can always go back and change things up as your schedule changes. The second step is to pick a day each week to review, change, and update your schedule. I update my schedule on Saturdays, I have the most time to sit down and plug in my weekly tasks and goals I have. I also have my weekly work schedule posted on Fridays so by Saturday I know what my next week will look like, work wise that is. It does not matter what day you do this, as long as you’re consistent. This will reinforce the positive habit you are building.

Use your time wisely and lets reach those goals! Health and wellness never end which means there’s no time limit or expiration date on when to reach goals in your life. Always, always, always enjoy the process and check in with yourself. The goal is to feel exceptional, be exceptional and live an exceptional life. So let’s do this together.

Stay mindful,

Cassandra
