What’s your story? What has been written on the once blank pages of your life? Are you the author or are you letting someone/something else dictate your life?
As a friendly reminder this is your life, meaning this is your story. No one else can write it for you, no one else can write your story better than you can. So get out your pens and paper and start writing.
First write down your name.
Then write one simple and “to the point” sentence as a preface to what the goal of your life is.
For example mine life goal is to live a healthy and happy life. This can be done in many ways and will look differently for each person based off of their own beliefs of what health and happiness look like.
From this point, take some time to reflect on your life. Try to define a few key features you feel like will align you with your goals. Once you define key factors in creating your own destiny – write them down. Putting in a small amount of action now will allow you to keep making action choices and therefore establishing the life you so desire.
From my example: to live a healthy and happy life
- Breaking down “healthy”
- My Definition: full of energy, mobile, strong, a feeling of cleanliness, and adaptable.
- This is purely my definition of what healthy means to me. You may read this and not quite understand what I mean by “a feeling of cleanliness” and being adaptable and that’s okay because its my personal definition.
- Breaking down “happy”
- My Definition: having clarity, staying calm throughout the frustrations life throws at you, enjoying all the small this on a daily basis, smiling because you can, and laughing alone & of course with others.
- Side note… laughing fully out loud with no contractions or containments when you’re completely alone is such a liberating experience. If you don’t already do this, I encourage you to give it a try. I feel like I used mostly laugh in my head, or maybe let out a soft giggle but lately I’ve allowed myself to fully enjoy laughter.
Now that we’ve clearly and precisely defined the preface to our personal books of life it is time to simple live. Let life be, keeping in mind that you’re the author. You decide each day what will be written, remember in this life there’s no going back to fix something; the way you write it in every moment is the way it will be. Take that as encouragement, it’s a great reminder that a blank page awaits us when we wake in the morning.
Stay Healthy,
Cassandra
