First Things First

Every day starts with a morning, and every morning is the start of your happiness and health. The morning sets the tone for your day and the rest of your week. I have found that having and practicing a morning routine has allowed me to conquer my days with confidence and peace. Setting up your day for success does not mean that the day will go by perfectly, but rather you will be able to handle hiccups with a clear perspective.

My Morning Routine:

  • Wake up & smile
  • Drink 20-30 oz of water
  • Read a positive quote
  • Write down 10 things I’m grateful for
  • Review my goal board (I write my goals down so I can see them every day)
  • Stretch and practice meaningful breathing
  • Clean up and get dressed for my day
Enjoying a cup of organic coffee (often part of my morning)

Small annoyances that used to bother me and actually impact my mood no longer seem to be a big deal… And in fact they’re not. My morning routine has helped me take control of my emotions and mood. I start each day by reinforcing a positive outlook on life and celebrating all aspects of life.
