Strengthen

How do you define strength? Is there a limit to strength, what form does it come in? Can strength be shared or is it yours alone?

I am not sure about any of you, but I have definitely pondered on some of these questions. I have come up with my own answers and I thought I’d share.

Starting with my own definition of strength I’d like to break it up into two parts. Mental and physical strength are the two components of overall strength. Mental strength is something that is not seen, something that is tested daily with life as the guideline. Mental strength forged through all of life’s experiences and how someone handles what they are dealt. To me mental strength is when you are incontrol of your emotions, thoughts, manifestations, and intelligence.

Physical strength is seen and often judged upon a glance. Your stature, muscle size and density are all quick judgemental factors that people use to determine strength. I am someone who is often misjudged on this subject. People take a look and me and a small girl who looks harmless, when in reality I am harmless but very strong. When people notice my strength I typically get a reaction of surprise. I am no stronger and no different than anyone, I have programmed my body to be able to lift a certain amount of weight. I have developed skills to use the strength I have built and I am able to fully use my body. To me physical strength is a force that is developed through listening to your body and enhancing traits from within.

Strength is found in many forms, alike water strength take and will take the shape of whoever wields it. It can be shared and should be shared with those around you. There is no limit to strength, it can be developed, learned, sharpened, and defined throughout life. You may not know your strength but I encourage you to start looking for it.

Stay Healthy,

Cassandra
